This is one of my favorite drinks. When I’m feeling bad and I drink this, I think all in the world is well, and heaven is on earth, and I got an invisible blanket around me.
It’s a really simple drink made up of ginger, honey, and lemon. This might be boring for some people and not inventive, but I only got introduced to the idea of ginger and lemon (together in 1 cup) in Myanmar. I don’t know why I didn’t think of that combination before.

This drink has really good stuffs in it. Honey is a natural antiviral and antibacterial. Lemon is packed with vitamin C and also helps to fend of those nasty bacterias. And Ginger is anti-inflammatory. So this drinks is good to drink when you got the sniffles.
So here’s the recipe.
1 thumb-size Ginger (larger if you like it spicy, less if you don’t like it spicy)
1 lemon
1 small spoon of honey (or if you like it sweet, add more).
– Grate the Ginger using cheese grater into your mug. You want to do this so the juice comes out.
– Squeeze the Lemon.
– Add the honey.
Fill the cup with hot water (not boiling water. Around 5-10 min after boiling. Why? cause you want to retain as much of the good enzymes as possible.)
Mix it up and let it steep for a bit. I like to do it around 10 min. Longer is fine too (This way, the water will cool a bit before you drink it).
Enjoy the cup of Warm Hug!
Great to drink on cold nights when you need something warm.
